MSFT Surface Deep Restart

With the Surface already on…

  1. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. (This turns off the Surface.)
  2. Hold down both the power button and the volume up button for 15 seconds. (This turns off the Surface even more.)
  3. Wait 10 seconds. (This really offends the Surface.)
  4. Press the power button. (This turns on the Surface.)

The Surface will start and otherwise intractable problems might just be fixed (e.g. Non-responsive Typecovers have been known to respond after this.)
